Critical Environmental and Ecological Risks

 Protected Avian Species:

The area is home to Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles, which are among 12 migratory birds under federal protection in the proposed area.

Ecological Resources

 Endangered Mammals:

The presence of the endangered Gray Bat, along with the proposed endangered Tri-colored Bat, makes this corridor ecologically sensitive.

Ecological Resources

Pollinator Habitats:

The proposed routes threaten Monarch Butterfly relies on the specific flora found in these fields and generational farmsteads.  Introducing high-volume truck traffic and chemical runoff through these habitats risks permanent ecological damage and potential federal legal complications for the project.
